Because it’s been that kind of a day week.
Richard Cheese - Freak on a Leash
I needed a laugh at the end of the day today so I fired up the ipod, hit shuffle and this was the first song that came up! Funny stuff, really!

It’s been a year since I had this idea. Nothing has materialized from it yet, but this is a venture I would be willing to look into some day.

Where great music meets great coffee!
How cool of an idea would that be for a cafe? Some chill house music in the background and a nice cup of coffee or some light breakfast fare. A fun place to hang with friends for breakfast, lunch or in the evening. Live DJ Friday & Saturday evening and Saturday & Sunday mornings. All “House Blend” DJ’s music available on sale at the cafe with 100% of CD profits to DJ’s. This is a concept that could work here in Montreal as long as you have a good location.
Sometimes you capture something great when you are just practicing. This was just a test shot with my camera, but it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It’s like I always say, I’d rather be lucky than good!

Time for the Blues.
After watching Treme this weekend I had some late night inspiration to take this photo. I was actually born in New Orleans, but my family moved from there when I was very young so I don’t have any recollection of the city at all. Interestingly enough I am also a musician. I started playing saxophone at the age of 7. I learned the tuba at 16 and went on to study music education for a couple of years at college. Sadly I never finished my education. Still I have had the opportunity to perform for and perform alongside some great musicians. Music is and always will be a part of my life!

I have recently reconnected with an old roommate of mine. This is his band Think Tank from Mission Viejo, CA. The song is called Arcadia.
This song “Turkish Bath” recorded in 1967 by Don Ellis is a song that is way ahead of it’s time. In fact the whole album is way ahead of it’s time. I suggest taking a listen. This is a shortened version of the original (10:32) without all of the solos or the ending. A great album for sure. Check out more music by Don Ellis at DonEllisMusic.com
